Bruce Gagnier attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, and received an M.F.A from Columbia University, where he was sculpture assistant to Peter Agostini. One person exhibitions include the Lori Bookstein Gallery, NY; Leslie Cecil Gallery, NY; University of Kentucky; Haverford College, PA, and ISA Gallery in Umbira, Italy. Group exhibitions include Salander-O'Reilly Gallery, NY; Rising Tide Gallery, Provincetown MA, and Maurice Arlos Gallery, NY. He has taught at Yale University; the University of North Carolina and Parsons School of Design, amongst others. Gagnier has held two residencies at the International School of Art in Umbria and has been the recipient of several awards including an Ingram Merrill Grant and the Skowhegan Painting Prize.
